The East Side of the Sanctuary

"Help from the Hills"

The Ella Remington Furman window is on the east side of the Church. The inscription reads:
"In Memoriam: Ella Remington Furman, Beloved wife of Howard Cogswell Furman". Beneath the panel are the words: "I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills from whence cometh help." This window was erected in 1928 and was made possible through a bequest in the will of her husband, Howard Cogswell Furman.

 

 

 

 

"The Ascension"

The Remington window is on the east side, second from the north end of the Church. The inscription on the panel reads: "In loving memory of Philo Remington and Caroline Agusta Lathrop, his wife." Beneath this are the words: "The righteous shall be in everlasting remembrance." This window was erected in 1911 by their children, Ida Remington Squire and Ella Remington Furman.

 

 

 

 

"The Good Shepherd"

The Joy window is on the east side, third from the north end of the Church. The inscription reads: "In Memoriam - Henry L. and Mary E. Joy." It was erected in 1910 by their family.

 

 

 

 

 

"Christ in the Temple"

This very beautiful window was made possible through the bequest of Mrs. Jennie Beaver. The inscription on the panel reads: "In loving memory of my husband, John Beaver." The window was installed on September 12, 1944. It is on the east side, fourth from the north end of the Church.

 

 

 

 

 

The West Side of the Sanctuary

"The Brook Kedron"

The Esther Norton Loomis window is on the west side nearest the north end of the Church. It was erected in 1928 and was made possible through a gift from her son, Mr. E. E. Loomis of New York City. The inscription on the panel reads: "In memory of Esther Norton Loomis”.

 

 

 

 

 

"The Resurrection"

The Charles Harter window is on the west side, second from the north end of the Church. The inscription on the panel reads: "In Loving memory Charles Harter 1844 - 1926." This window was given by Mrs. Charles Harter.

 

 

 

 

"Christ in Gethsemane"

The Epworth League window is on the west side, third from the north end of the Church. This beautiful and expressive window was presented to the church by the Epworth League in 1910.

 

 

 

 

 

"Madonna with Child"

This lovely window was made possible through the will of Mrs. Jennie Beaver. The inscription on the panel reads: "In Memoriam - Jennie and John Beaver." It was installed on September 14, 1944. It is located on the west side, fourth from the north end of the church.
